WHERE WE ARE LOCATED
Kuau Inn is located on the North Side of the island. Our location is 5 miles from Kahului Airport, one mile from Paia Town, and 45 miles to Hana.
Within minutes of Kuau Inn are world-renowned Hookipa Beach (very popular for surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing and stand up paddling) and Peahi, also known as "Jaws" (world famous for tow-in surfing). For safe swimming, Ku’au Cove - where Mama’s Fish House is located - and Baldwin Beach near Pa’ia have protected lagoons year round.
Our address is 676 Hana Highway - where the historic road to Hana begins its way to the far east side of Maui. A couple hours' drive through spectacular scenery of waterfalls, tropical jungle and ocean vistas and you’ll arrive in Hana, Hawaii’s very Hawaiian region. It’s a full and amazing day trip not to be missed when you visit Maui.
HOW TO GET HERE
DIRECTIONS FROM THE AIRPORT
- When you depart from the car rental area you will be on Keolani Place, which is # 380. Follow on 380 straight ahead (past Costco and K-Mart) until you get to Hana Hwy / #36.
- Turn left on Hana Hwy. Stay on Hana Hwy until you reach the town of PAIA, about 10 minutes up the road. Dive straight through the town.
- Kuau Inn is one mile from the traffic light at Hana Highway and Baldwin Avenue. The address is 676 Hana Hwy. It is a Yellow 2 story house, with lots of windows, on the right side of the road.
- The entrance to the driveway is immediately after the sugar cane field and pedestrian sign. You can park at the end of driveway or to the left where the signs are. The entrance to the house is through the patio.
