About the house
This wonderful treasure of a house has four rooms for guests, 2 upstairs with ocean and mountain views. They share a lovely bathroom with a bathtub. These rooms have cable TV and telephones. Downstairs, there are also two guest bedrooms: a queen bedroom and a twin bedroom. There are three bathrooms downstairs. Additionally, there is an outdoor open-air hot water shower for two. Inside Kuau Inn
We have a beautiful, large living room and a pleasant day room which together make the common area spacious and comfortable. We provide WiFi throughout Kuau Inn. We have cable channels, DVDs, and a flat screen TV. There is a sound system inside and outside. We also have a washer and dryer that can be used upon request. We clean the house daily to keep it sparkling.
A healthy breakfast is included. We provide an assortment of tropical fruit, breads and bagels, cereals, milk, juice, teas and coffee. Guests may help themselves to breakfast whenever they please. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and entertaining - complete with toaster, microwave, coffee maker, blender, food processor, etc. There are two refrigerators, one in the kitchen and one on the lanai (patio) for beverages and guests' groceries.
The lanai patio is where the gang can hang out in the converted carport, local style, barbecuing and watching the sun go down. Warm evenings in the yard offer endless star gazing! The house is surrounded by tropical landscaping, fruit trees, and a large back yard for playing and sunbathing.

Kuau Inn is owned by Neil and Julie Thompson, locals who have lived on Maui since 1969. The Inn has onsite "live in" management to assist with any guest needs or enquiries. They hope visitors will relax and enjoy the island lifestyle. Kuau Inn has an informal and pleasantly social atmosphere. Although the house is kept very clean at all times, it sits beside a sugar cane field, and it is possible that some critters could find their way into the house. We have very few, but it happens. Without regular poisoning, all Hawaii dwellings will have some insects at times. Kuau Inn has a policy of not poisoning for the health of the environment, ourselves and the guests. If you have a serious dislike or phobia of critters, please consider this before booking.
